This represents an expansion of the company’s service scope for its Plant Engineering business unit in the rubber and tire industry segment

With effect from January 1, 2018 , the Zeppelin Group acquired 100% of shares in the Italian company Nuova Ciba S.p.A. This acquisition further expands the Group’s expertise as a global full-service provider of turnkey plants designed to produce rubber compounds, and means the transfer of 40 employees into its Plant Engineering strategic business unit.

Nuova Ciba’s systems are an ideal addition to the Zeppelin Plant Engineering product portfolio, and will further strengthen our market position in the rubber and tire production sector. Nuova Ciba specializes in the construction of plants for handling and preparing raw materials used to produce rubber compounds; these plants are used in the tire industry as well as by manufacturers of technical rubber products. The company mainly serves markets in Southern Europe, though it has also enjoyed success in Eastern Europe and North Africa. As part of the Zeppelin Group, the aim is to increase future export volumes.
